Happy Backpackers

Clean rooms, friendly staff & of course best location. Planned to stay for a few days, ended up staying over a week. Affordable price, great location, great staff & great hostel. Will definitely come back to Original Backpackers & recommend it to other travelers!

One of the most social and well-staffed hostels I’ve ever stayed at. People at the front desk were always incredibly friendly & helpful with directions and showing backpackers cool spots around Sydney. Communal kitchen with free appliances.

Love the all female dorm 🙂 Clean with a nice little balcony & mini fridge. Patio downstairs is great for socializing. met lots of cool people

I liked how friendly the staff were. I loved how clean this place was. The breakfast was basic but good. Cosy TV lounge. easy 25 minute walk to the city center but easily catch train which is about 100m from hostel. met some friendly travellers

Room & linen were very clean. Bright, fresh bed linen. Cleaners kept whole facility very clean. close to centre of Sydney.

One of the better managed backpacker hotels in Potts Point. Close to trains & buses. Would def stay again if in Sydney

The private double room, good size and facilities, nice courtyard garden & entire hostel was very clean. I’ve stayed at many hostels in Kings Cross & this has been one of the best so far.

Very clean and friendly hostel, loved staying here great hostel in a great city. Would definitely stay again. Loved the courtyard in the afternoon relaxing and laughing with people we met. Very nice place.

Stayed in the mixed dorm, everything was clean and comfortable just what you want after a long day. The bathroom facilities were always clean and fresh. Loved the group activities and table tennis.

Nice hostel! Really cool atmosphere and a good place to get to know new people. The staff is always very friendly and helpful (greetings go especially to Greg the nice guy from the reception ;) ). The rooms and facilities are clean and the prices are definitely fair. All in all a good hostel :)

Friendly staff, they do well with cleaning. It's a good place. The location is what I love. About 5min walk to Kings Cross station. Food everywhere. Awesome!

We stayed in the private room for four nights as a treat on our way down the coast, and we weren’t disappointed. The chocolates and champagne were such a nice treat we felt like royalty. Super comfortable bed and lovely private bathroom. Well worth it!!!

We stayed 7 nights and can’t complain it was very clean and staff very friendly, close to train and shops for food and drinks would recommend.

I stayed in the Private room over New Year’s (10 days). It was so affordable, less than half what I would of paid in any hotel. It was the best time of my life and I’ll be back again, it’s the perfect location for enjoying Sydney. This hostel is great, clean, friendly staff. The private room was modern, spacious, had its own private bathroom, TV, tea and coffee, lock up safe. They gave us complimentary champagne and chocolates for New Year’s Eve. Amazing!!!
